COSMETIC TATTOO PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO PREP

4 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Do not undergo any chemical peel treatments, AHA peels, Botox and/or filler in the forehead, or pro-longed exposure to sunlight. Your skin cannot be in the process of healing or regeneration during PMU services.

Discontinue the use of Retinol, Retin A, Lactic Acid or Vitamin C products on the skin. These products can significantly alter your skins ability to retain the pigment used for PMU.

10 DAYS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Do not suntan, spray tan, self tan (or wax/tint your eyebrows if booked for a brow tattoo) for a minimum of 10 days before your appointment.

24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Do not consume any alcohol, coffee, energy drinks or blood thinners (unless prescribed) before your appointment. This can cause excess bleeding/sensitivity and will lead to poor results. Give the area a good finger scrub, cleanse and moisturize well.

DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Cleanse and moisturize the area well.

Do your makeup as you would for your day to day routine to give me the best reference!

WHAT TO EXPECT

All Cosmetic Tattoo appointments begin with a consultation before we map the area and apply numbing. Depending on the area you are numbing, it will sit for 15-30 minutes. Once the pre-numbing process is complete, the tattoo process begins. Open skin numbing is also applied throughout the appointment to keep you comfy!

If you are receiving a brow tattoo, we will start with outlining the shape of the brow with manual strokes and if desired, follow with machine shading for added fullness and structure.

If you are receiving a lash line, lip or freckle tattoo, we begin tattooing with a machine immediately.

Lash line and brows are completed by alternating work on the right and left side. Lips are done from top to bottom. Freckles are done from the least comfortable areas to the most comfortable.

Once the manual and/or machine tattooing portion is complete, the skin is thoroughly cleansed, after photos are taken and we go over your aftercare instructions and kit together before checking out!

Brow tattoo appointments also include a brow wax if desired.
